Welcome to our family garden — a small backyard filled with life, color, and stories passed down through generations.
This is where our love for nature began, and where much of my art and inspiration continue to bloom.

🌼 Grandma’s Garden

Our garden’s heart belongs to my grandma — the leading gardener in our family.
She started gardening as a young girl, helping her parents farm and grow vegetables. Even now, she spends hours caring for the soil, planting herbs, and creating her own “closet” of yarn crafts inspired by the plants she tends. Her gentle hands remind us that patience and care can grow anything beautiful.

🌱 A Family Tradition

Our garden is a reflection of our roots — a multi-generation story of faith, love, and connection to the land.
My parents farmed in China, and they brought their memories and longing for the land into this small California backyard. Together, we’ve recreated that same spirit — growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers that remind us of home.

🌾 From Childhood to Creation

As a child, I learned from the land — feeding chickens and pigs, planting vegetables, working in the rice fields, and catching fish after school.
Those early memories taught me to see nature as a teacher — always patient, always renewing. Today, those same lessons inspire The Journey of Art Studio, blending gardening, art, and mindfulness into one living story.

🍋 From Garden to Table

Each season brings something new — edible herbs, blooming flowers, and plants that nourish both body and soul.
We love turning our harvest into simple recipes, teas, and crafts that celebrate nature’s gifts. From our botanical garden to our kitchen, everything we grow connects us back to creation and gratitude.

Through these stories and photos, we hope to share not just our garden — but the heart behind it.
May it remind you that beauty grows where love is planted.
